§1 Full Account Development Shop supports manual order status updates
Summary The Full Function Account Development Shop now supports manual order status updates for test orders placed in the TikTok App. This helps merchants and developers validate end-to-end forward and reverse order flows in the sandbox without relying on real fulfillment. Development Shop Manual Order Status Update Guide
§2 Highlights
The Development Shop capability has been expanded so that test orders created from the TikTok App can now be manually progressed in Partner Center. This makes it easier to validate status synchronization between Partner Center, Seller Center, and TikTok App during merchant testing and integration acceptance.
§3 What's New
- New capability: Manual order status updates are now supported for TikTok App test orders in the Full Function Account development shop.
- Supported flow types:
- Forward flow: On Hold → Pending Shipment → In Transit → Delivered
- Reverse flow: Cancel Order and Refund
- Consumer-side reverse validation: Cancellation initiated in TikTok App can be verified for backend status sync.
- Regression coverage: Existing manual order operations for backend-created test orders remain part of the recommended regression scope.
§4 Availability
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Environment | Full Function Account Development Shop |
| Regions | US / EU / SEA |
| Order source | Test orders placed in TikTok App |
| Operation entry | Partner Center → Development Shop → Order Management |
§5 Why It Matters
Before this release, merchants and developers could not easily simulate fulfillment-driven status changes for TikTok App test orders in the Development Shop environment. With this release, testing teams can validate:
- Order creation and backend visibility after TikTok App checkout
- Forward status synchronization from backend actions to TikTok App
- Reverse flows such as cancellation and refund
- Cancellation initiated in TikTok App and synced back to the backend
This reduces testing dependency on real logistics and improves sandbox validation efficiency.
§6 Impact on Developers and Merchants
No production impact. This capability is intended for sandbox and development shop testing scenarios only. It does not affect production orders or live user data.
- For merchants: You can complete order flow acceptance more efficiently in the development shop.
- For developers: You can verify status callbacks and UI display changes across multiple order states without waiting for real-world fulfillment.
- For operation teams: You can use the same testing path across US, EU, and SEA with region-specific shop assets.
§7 Developer Action Required
No API integration change is required for this release. To use the new capability:
- Make sure your buyer account is linked to the correct Full Function Account development shop.
- Publish a test product in the development shop.
- Place a test order in TikTok App.
- Use Partner Center to manually progress or reverse the order status.
- Verify the updated status in TikTok App and, when applicable, in Seller Center.
§8 Notes
- Refund validation requires two backend actions: Initiate Refund and Approve Refund.
- Status synchronization in TikTok App may take a few seconds after each backend action.
- For regression testing, continue validating the existing manual order flows for backend-created test orders.
§9 Recommended Documentation Scope
If you maintain external or partner-facing documentation, make sure the following points are reflected:
- Supported environment and regions
- Order source limitation to TikTok App test orders in Development Shop
- Forward and reverse status paths
- Acceptance checkpoints for sync validation
- Regression recommendation for existing backend-created test orders
