§1 What is a Developer?
Using the TikTok Shop APIs, developers build applications that offer sellers solutions to automate, manage and grow their businesses on TikTok Shop. Via the TikTok Shop Partner Center, we provide a comprehensive set of technical tools, resources, and APIs that allow developers to integrate directly with TikTok Shop. Our APIs span the entirety of the seller operation process, allowing developers to create integrations that can streamline merchant workflows and improve customer experiences. Image
§2 Developer Type
There are three types of developers: seller developer, app developer, and system integrators. See below for more information.

| Seller Developer (TikTok Shop Seller) | Seller developers are developers who directly integrate TikTok Shop with their system. Typically, these are sellers who need custom solutions to support their own operations on TikTok Shop. This is a direct 1:1 authorization for the bound TikTok Shop Seller Account. (Apart from key merchants, you may ask the Account Manager (AM) to add accounts to the allowlist) A Seller Account must have an Account Manager (AM) assigned before onboarding. If no AM is assigned, please contact TikTok Shop Seller Center customer support to have one set up first. | Custom App |

This TikTok Shop will be the only shop able to authorize apps created as a seller developer.</span>
§3 What are the benefits of becoming a developer on TikTok Shop？
Building an app or offering a Service in the TikTok Shop App store can offer several benefits including: access to develop services that enable merchants to sell to TikTok's large user base; monetization in the form of one-time or subscription based pricing; exposure and visibility within TikTok Shop Seller Center, the ability to introduce innovative features and functionalities that are not available in TikTok's native features; and the long-term potential given once an app gains traction, it can generate revenue and provide value to merchants for an extended period of time.
