§1 What is changing?
Starting from 9 July 2026, partners will be required to provide mandatory product attributes when listing or editing products by using API under the following categories: Beauty Supplement 700648, Fitness Supplements 700649, Vitamins, Minerals & Wellness Supplements 700650 and Herbal Supplements 2160400. The mandatory product attributes will include :
- NPRA Registered
- If "NPRA Registered = Yes", "MAL No. / 101088” is mandatory.
§2 Which markets are affected?
The updates of the requirements apply to local to local sellers in the Malaysia market.
§3 Who is affected?
Developers with applications that use Create Product, Edit Product, and Partial Edit Product
§4 Which version is applicable?
The updates of the requirements apply to all versions of the related APIs
§5 What action is required?
Without this mandatory attribute sellers will not be able to create and update products. Use the Get Attributes to check what attributes are mandatory and pass attribute values via the Create Product, Edit Product, and Partial Edit Product to help sellers fill in the attribute values.
