Important Updates to Open Platform Policies

Dear Developer,

The Shopee Open Platform is now renewed with a more user-friendly interface and updated policies. We would greatly appreciate your cooperation in completing these items:

1. For users registered before 16 April 2021, acknowledge the new Data Protection Policy via your Open Platform Console by 31 May 2021. Because protecting users’ privacy is extremely important to us, developers who fail to do so will risk having their account terminated.

Third-party Partner Platforms should also update your Partner Platform profile and fill in all required fields.

2. Check if you are registered with the right account type. If not, update your status to a third-party platform (ISV) OR seller with the Account Status Update form.

To determine whether you’re a third-party platform (ISV) or seller, you can reference how we define each account. You should complete this as soon as possible to avoid any penalties or termination of your account.

3. For Third-party Partner Platforms, familiarise yourself and your team with the new Third-party Partner Platform Policy to help us build a fair and safe marketplace. It includes clear guidelines on what you should or should not do with your access to the Shopee Open Platform.

Third-party Partner Platforms providing fulfilment services should also take special note of the Third-party Platform Fulfilment Policy included in the same document.
