Upcoming New Sandbox

Dear Developer,

We are exited to announce that Shopee OpenPlatform will launch our new Sandbox - testing environment soon!

Why New Sandbox?

The current testing environment(UAT) provided is not meeting our increasing integration needs ragarding:

• Environment Stability - Downtime
• Function Consistency - Different Behaviour Between UAT and Live Environment
• Efficiency - Manual Data Mockup From Shopee to Facilitate Testing

New Sandbox is a comprehensive solution for all these issues.

What's New?

New Sandbox will take effect in below aspects:

• New Sandbox will have consistent features with Live environment
• Test Partner_id, Test Key, Test API urls, Test shops will be generated under new Sandbox
• API Test Tool in OpenPlatform Console will switch to new Sandbox
• In addition to test shop, new Sandbox also provides corresponding buyer account to facilitate developer self-help test order placement. More details can refer to our updated Developer Guide.

What To Expect?

New registered developers starting 29/1/2021 will have new Sandbox to start with integration testing. The mass rollout for existing developers will be around 18/2/2021.

Existing developer migration highlights AFTER the launch:

Test shops

• Your current test shops(UAT) will still be valid until its displayed expiration date
• If your test shops expire before the rollout and you miss the last chance to restore, you will no longer have such option after the rollout and it will expire forever.
• If your test shops expire within two weeks after the rollout, the expiration will automatically get extended for another two weeks on the rollout day to better help you transfer seamlessly. For example, rollout is 18/2/2021 and the test shop originally expires on 28/2/2021, then expiration date will be extended to 14/3/2021
• All new test shops created after the launch will be under new Sandbox environment

Test partner_id and key

• Your current test partner_id and key will be cloned to new Sandbox, meaning you can use the same set for UAT environment(until all UAT test shops expire) and new Sandbox.

Test API urls

• There will be new urls under each API documentation.
• Current test urls are still valid(until all UAT test shops expire).

Please finish up you testing in the current test shops if any and get ready for the launch.

為什麼需要新沙箱？

當前提供的測試環境(UAT)已難以滿足日益增多的對接訴求，主要體現在：

• 環境的穩定性 - 宕機情況
• 功能的一致性 - UAT和線上環境的功能表現存在不一樣情況
• 對接的效率 - 需要蝦皮提供人力支持創建測試數據如測試訂單

新沙箱將對以上問題提供一個綜合解決方案。

有什麼新變化？

新沙箱有以下新變化：

• 在功能邏輯方面，新沙箱將會和線上環境保持一致
• 提供可用於新沙箱的Test Partner_id, Test Key, Test API urls和Test Shops
• 開放平台Console中的API Test Tool可以測試新沙箱的接口
• 除了測試店鋪，新沙箱亦會提供對應的買家賬號供開發者自主用於生成測試訂單。更多資訊，請前往Developer Guide.

如何過渡遷移?

29/1/2021之後新註冊開發者會直接使用新沙箱開始對接測試。 對於現存開發者，新沙箱將在18/2/2021全量上線。

新沙箱全量上線後，現存開發者遷移要點:

測試店鋪（Test shops）

• 您當前的測試店鋪(UAT)會在所顯示的過期日前一直有效
• 若您的測試店鋪在新沙箱上線前過期，且您錯過了最後恢復(Restore)的機會，測試店鋪將在新沙箱上線後永遠失效
• 若您的測試店鋪在新沙箱上線後兩周內過期，我們會在上線當天將其自動延期額外兩周以便讓您有更充分時間準備切換。例如上線日期18/2/2021，測試店鋪原到期日28/2/2021會被自動延期到14/3/2021
• 新沙箱上線後創建的全新測試店鋪的操作管理都會基於新環境

測試Test partner_id和key

• 您當前的測試partner_id和key會被複製到新沙箱，意味著您可以用同樣的金鑰調用UAT環境(直到所有UAT測試店鋪都過期)和新沙箱環境

測試API urls

• 每個API文檔中都會提供新的測試API url
• 當前測試API urls會一直有效(直到所有UAT測試店鋪都過期)

請您盡快完成在當前測試店鋪的測試工作，並為新沙箱上線切換做好準備。
