[Final Reminder]Two-Factor Authentication for Open Platform Accounts

[Scope of Application: All Shopee Open Platform Developers]

Dear Developers,

To further enhance the data security of your Open Platform accounts, prevent the risk of unauthorized account access, and safeguard the security of your account assets, Shopee will uniformly activate the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) mechanism for all Open Platform accounts. This authentication will be triggered when you log in from a new device. The key information about this security upgrade is hereby notified as follows. Please take note and make preparations in advance.

1. Implementation Time

The Two-Factor Authentication (Device Login Protection) feature will be gradually rolled out starting from January 19 (the rollout progress may vary slightly among different accounts, and all accounts will be covered upon completion).

2. Impact on Developers

After the official launch of the Two-Factor Authentication policy, the following verification rules will apply to your account login:

• First re-login after the policy launch: After the policy takes effect, when you log in to the Open Platform for the first time, the system will trigger email verification code authentication (the verification code will be sent to the registered email address of your Developer Account). You can only log in successfully after entering the correct verification code. (Note: The maximum login duration of the current Open Platform is 7 days.)
• Login from a new device: If you log in using a new device (or a device that has never been used to log in to your account before), email verification code authentication will also be triggered for the first login on that device, and you can access the account only after passing the verification.

3. Important Notes (Email-related Reminders)

1. Regarding Developer Account

The registered email address bound to the Developer Account does not support self-service modification. To avoid account login failures caused by invalid registered email addresses (e.g., deactivated, unable to receive emails, etc.), we recommend that you immediately check the usage status of your current registered email address.

If your registered email address is no longer available, please submit an email update application through the ticket system as soon as possible to replace it with a valid and active email address.

Application Requirements:

• The ticket must be submitted using an account under your current Developer Account, and the email address to be updated must be filled in accurately;
• The platform will verify the account information submitted with the ticket, and the email modification can only be completed after the verification is matched.

If you need to query the email address bound to your current account, you can log in to the Open Platform → Console → Personal Center → Account Information to view it.

Note: The new email address to be replaced needs to complete the developer registration of the Shopee Open Platform. Please refer to the official guide document to complete the developer registration of the new email address (registration only, no need to submit for review; if submitted for review, it cannot be modified).

2. Regarding Member Account

Please ensure that a valid and authentic email address is added to each Member Account to prevent subsequent account login failures.

为进一步提升您的开放平台账号数据安全性，防范账号被未授权访问的风险，保障您的账号资产安全，Shopee 将为所有开放平台账号统一启用双重验证（2FA） 机制，该验证将在更换登录设备时触发。现将本次安全升级的关键信息通知如下，请您知悉并提前做好准备。

一、上线时间

本次双重验证（设备登录保护）功能将于1 月 19 日起逐步放量上线（不同账号的上线进度可能略有差异，完成后将覆盖所有账号）。

二、对开发者的影响

双重验证策略正式上线后，您的账号登录将适用以下验证规则：

• 策略上线后的首次重新登录：策略生效后，您首次登录开放平台时，系统将触发邮箱验证码验证（验证码将发送至您的Developer Account注册邮箱），输入正确验证码后方可成功登录。（注：目前开放平台的最长登录时长为 7 天）
• 更换设备登录：若您使用新设备（或此前未登录过您账号的设备）登录，在该设备上首次登录时，同样会触发邮箱验证码验证，验证通过后方可访问账号。

三、重要注意事项（邮箱相关提醒）

1）关于Developer Account：

开发者账号（Developer Account）绑定的注册邮箱不支持自主修改。为避免因注册邮箱失效（如停用、无法接收邮件等）导致账号无法登录，建议您立即核查当前注册邮箱的使用状态。

若注册邮箱已无法正常使用，请尽快通过工单系统提交邮箱更新申请，将其更换为有效活跃邮箱。

申请要求：

• 需使用当前 Developer Account 下的账号提交工单，并准确填写拟更新的邮箱地址；
• 平台将对提交工单的账号信息进行校验，校验匹配后方可完成邮箱修改操作。
• 若您需查询当前账号绑定的邮箱信息，可登录 Open Platform → Console → Personal Center → Account Information 进行查看。

注意：拟更换的新邮箱需完成Shopee开放平台的开发者注册，请参照官方指引文档，完成新邮箱的开发者注册（仅需注册，无需提交审核，若提交审核则无法修改）。

2）关于 Member Account

请务必为成员子账号（Member Account）添加真实有效的邮箱地址，避免后续出现账号无法登录的情况。

• 添加路径：Shopee Open Platform Console → Personal Center → Member Management → Add Member
