New Penalties Added for Platform Violations

[Applicable for all Open Platform developers]

Dear Developers,

We have updated the list of penalties to include a wider range of penalties for various platform violations. Below are the newly added penalties that you should take note of.

New Penalties

1. Removal of access to Sensitive Data

Shopee may remove your access to sensitive data such as the buyer’s name, address, and contact number from these APIs:

- V2.order.get_order_detail

- V2.logistics.get_shipping_document_data_info

- V2.returns.get_return_detail

- V2.order.get_buyer_invoice_info

2. API call limit reduced

- Shopee may impose a daily API call limit on your Application (e.g. only 1,000 API calls may be made per day)

Developers may also refer to the “App List” under the “App Management” module in the Open Platform console for any penalties imposed and penalty details.

Shopee wishes to remind all Open Platform users to familiarize yourself and your team with the Platform Partner Rules to help us build a fair and safe marketplace. In the event of a violation, Shopee Open Platform reserves the right to investigate the developer's actions and impose a penalty as required.

Should any penalty be imposed, you would be notified via your registered email of the penalty imposed and the reason for the penalty. Penalties will be lifted within 2 working days after you have performed the necessary rectifications.

如果施加了任何处罚，您将通过注册的电子邮件收到有关施加的处罚及处罚原因的通知。在您完成必要的纠正措施后，处罚将在 2 个工作日内解除。
