1. Mandatory Attribute Requirement for Mobile & Gadgets Categories

Dear Developer,

To improve product information completeness and buyers' search experience, selected product attributes under the Mobile & Gadgets categories will change from optional to mandatory. Please review the following changes and update your API integration logic before the effective date to avoid item creation or update failures.

Summary of Changes

• Selected product attributes under the Mobile & Gadgets categories change to mandatory.

Recommendation

• Please refer to the attribute list and mandatory-field information in the SEH article
• You can call v2.product.get_attribute_tree to dynamically retrieve the latest attribute definitions for each category, and use the "mandatory" field to confirm whether an attribute is required.

Validation Logic

Starting from the effective date, a request to create, update or re-list an item under the affected categories must carry the mandatory attributes, otherwise the system will block the request and the item will NOT be created or updated.

To improve product information completeness and buyers' search experience, product attributes for selected categories are being updated, enhancing product exposure and competitiveness. This includes newly added attributes for used items, helping buyers quickly understand the condition of an item. You may review the attribute list and fill in the relevant attribute information based on the actual details of the item.
