Important updates to Shopee Open Platform seller accounts

Dear Developers,

To streamline and secure your processes on the Shopee Open Platform, we have added these updates:

1. App authorization

Your Seller In-house System APP(s) can only be authorized to access data from your own shops/merchants after signing into Shopee Open Platform. Deauthorizations can also be done in the Open Platform Console.

To verify that you own the shops/merchants currently linked to your Apps, you must renew any existing authorizations by 18 October 2021. Or else, these authorizations will be automatically removed on October 19, 2021, 12:00 AM, SGT. Reauthorizations will be valid for 365 days.

2. Change account type

If you are registered as a Shopee Seller developer, but are providing services to Shopee sellers as a Third-party Partner Platform, you can apply to change your account type. Go to the ‘Account Information’ page in the Open Platform Console, and select ‘Change to Third-party Partner Platform’.

If the application is approved, your Seller In-house System APP(s) will be converted to ERP System APP(s) (learn more about APP types here). Existing authorizations and corresponding expiration dates will remain unchanged.

If the application is rejected, your account and APP(s) will adhere to the standards outlined in Section 1. Authorizations will be automatically removed if they are not renewed.

To acknowledge your understanding of these updates, please fill in the acknowledgment form by 27 August 2021.

请留意以下变动：

1.应用授权

您的Seller In-house System应用程序只能被授权访问来自您自己店铺/商家的数据，新的授权流程要求先登陆开发者账号，再进行店铺/商家授权。

针对Seller In-house System应用程序，支持在Open Platform Console使用V2.0授权方法操作店铺/商家的授权与解绑。

为了保证当前您的应用程序访问的数据来自您自己的店铺/商家，所有已授权给Seller In-house System应用程序的店铺/商家均需重新授权，平台将于新加坡时间2021年10月19日00:00自动解绑未按平台要求重新授权的店铺/商家。

2. 变更账号类型

若您已经注册成为Shopee Seller类型的开发者，但是作为第三方合作平台向Shopee卖家提供服务，可以申请变更您的账号类型，访问Open Platform Console中的Account Information页面，操作Change to Third-party Partner Platform。

若变更申请审核通过，您的应用程序类型将从Seller In-house System更新为ERP System，现有的授权关系及其授权到期时间保持不变；若变更申请未审核通过， 您的账号与应用程序将遵守第一部分的规则，未按平台要求重新授权，授权关系将被自动解绑。
